Fuel switching

Some vehicles have multiple fuel tanks, for example a car that can drive on different fuels. To switch from one fuel system to another, solenoid valves are used. Applications include bi-fuel systems, often seen in cars and truck or multiple tank systems, such as in boats. 2/2-way or 3/2-way valves are available. In general normally closed (NC) valves are used for safety, if the power fails the valves will close. For fuels FKM (Viton) is the most suitable seal material. Most solenoid valves are also available in 12VDC or 24VDC.
