Condensate Management
Automatic condensate drains are an effective way to discharge accumulated condensate from the compressed air system. The drain must be installed at the lowest point in the compressed air system, such as a compressor, dryer, pressure vessel or filter. Condensate drains can be electronically controlled with a timer or work completely mechanically with a float system. Electronic drains open periodically with a configurable interval and discharge time. Mechanical drain systems use a float to open a valve as soon as the condensate has reached a certain level and shut off as the condensate level has dropped sufficiently.
