Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 6026) with 1/2 inch NPT threads and a 120 V AC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open). The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Media separation with stainless steel bellows enable the coil and body to withstand extreme temperatures and aggressive media. Suitable for extreme temperature ranges, from -200 °C to +180 °C (-328 to 356 °F) and a pressure range of 0 - 10 bar (145 psi). Housing of stainless steel with PTFE sealing and a 6 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.8 m3/h (13.34 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Suitable for vacuum.

Note: DIN connector not included.

This is a Burkert direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with 1/2 inch NPT threads and a 120 V AC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with PTFE sealing and an orifice size of 6 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of 0 - 10 bar (145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 180 °C (356 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.8 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 13 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 1, which means 1 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The stainless steel bellows create thermal and hermetic isolation the fluid from the sensitive valve parts, enabling the coil and body to withstand extreme temperatures and aggressive media. This prevents condensation buildup and coil overheating or freezing. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethene or teflon) sealing, is resistant to almost all media. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. Suitable for vacuum applications. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected. Suitable for cold media with temperatures from -200 °C. The valve is equipped with a "kick-and-drop" function, which provides a high inrush current to switch the valve and then reduces to a low holding current to keep the valve in position. This results in a significant reduction in power consumption.

Pros:

  • Suitable for vacuum applications
  • Aggressive media are possible thanks to the media separated design
  • Peak-and-hold electronics enable low energy consumption by delivering a high current to open the valve, which then decreases to a low holding current
  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
  • Suitable for extreme temperature ranges, from -200 °C to +180 °C (-328 to 356 °F)

Cons:

  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended

Series:

The Bürkert 6026 valve is a plunger valve that operates directly and features a 2/2-way configuration, utilizing a stainless steel bellows to separate media. This unique design creates a hermetic and thermal barrier between the coil and body, enabling the valve to withstand extreme temperatures and corrosive media without experiencing any condensation or unwanted coil heating or freezing. The epoxy-moulded coils resist chemicals, making this valve suitable for critical media applications. The valve body and seals are made of highly resistant materials such as PTFE and stainless steel, making it an ideal choice for critical chemical applications. Additionally, this valve incorporates "Kick and Drop" (KD) double coil technology to help reduce energy consumption. The valve includes a DIN EN 175301-803 Form A plug, and the valve and plug combination is rated IP65. Some versions handle plunger valves with media separation up to DN12 and operate in both high and low temperature ranges (-200°C to +180°C).
