PVC fittings are commonly used for water, but are also suited for many inorganic chemicals, acids, alkalis and salt solutions. They’re not suited for aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Unthreaded pipes and other socket-connect fittings are connected with PVC adhesive. It is recommended to apply a PVC primer first. These fittings are made according to EN 1452-3.
Note: PTFE tape or sealants are not recommended for plastic-to-plastic connections.
Note: Do not use plastic pipes and fittings with compressed air or gas.
