Brand: JP Fluid Control

JP Fluid Control 2 way solenoid valve (type HP-IA) with G 1/4 inch threads and a 24 V DC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open) and indirect operating, so a small differential pressure required. Suitable for max media temperature of 80° C (176 ° F) pressure range of 0.5 - 70 bar (7 - 1015 psi). Housing of stainless steel with teflon (PTFE) sealing and a 8 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.85 m3/h (14.17 l/min at dp=1 bar water).

This is a JP Fluid Control indirect operating 2 way solenoid valve with G 1/4 inch threads and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with teflon (PTFE) sealing and an orifice size of 8 mm (approximately 1/4 inch). The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.
The valve is suitable for pressures of 0.5 - 70 bar (7 - 1015 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80° C (176° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.85 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 14.17 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0.98, which means 0.98 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator.
The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

  • Suitable for high pressures up to 70 bar
  • Reliable and durable thanks to the piston design instead of a rubber membrane
  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
  • Delivered including coil and connector
  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating

Cons:

  • Not suited for low pressure differentials (< 0.5 bar). If you have a low pressure or a vacuum, consider a (semi-)direct solenoid valve or another valve type such as an electric ball valve
  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • Solenoid valves use energy while activated and the coil may get hot. A well ventilated installation environment is recommended to dissipate the heat

HP-IA series

The HP-IA is a normally closed, indirectly operated 2/2-way solenoid valve, specially designed for high pressure applications. The solenoid valves have a large orifice of 8 mm, they require a pressure differential of 0.5 bar (7.251 psi) to operate. The valves are suitable for high flow rates in combination with high pressures. The body is stainless steel with an FKM and PTFE seal. The HP-IA solenoid valves are compatible with coils from the the CS5 series.
The valves are available with BSP or NPT threads on request.
