The Hensel cable and pipe gland offers strain relief and a locknut feature. It has undergone a glow-wire test in line with IEC 60695-2-11 at 960°C, and is suitable for environments with temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C, at a relative humidity of 50% at 40°C or 100% at 25°C. The gland meets IEC 60529 IP ratings 66, 67, and 69, signifying dust, water, and pressurized water resistance. Made from PA polyamide, it is flame retardant, self-extinguishing, and free from halogens and silicones. The gland is black, corresponding to RAL 9011. It is a Hensel-produced Type ASS, and is size M40.
