The DEHNshield combined arrester, optimized for applications, utilizes spark-gap-based type 1 and type 2 technologies for lightning current and surge protection as per EN 61643-11. It features a compact design with space-saving spark gap technology and a width of only 1 module/pole. Designed for residential buildings and special applications, it safeguards low-voltage installations against surges, even in scenarios with direct lightning strikes. It is suitable for installation following the lightning protection zone concept at the boundaries from 0A – 2. Its specifications include a 50kA lightning impulse current (10/350), a maximum continuous AC voltage of 255V, a nominal AC voltage of 230V, and safety levels of 1.5kV for L-N, N-PE, and L-PE.
