The DEHNshield is a multipole, spark-gap-based combined lightning current and surge arrester that adheres to EN 61643-11 standards. It has a compact design taking up only one module per pole, thanks to space-saving spark gap technology. It is designed for use in residential buildings and special applications and is capable of protecting terminal equipment. It guards low-voltage consumer's installations from surges, including those caused by direct lightning strikes. For effective protection, it should be installed at the boundaries between lightning protection zones 0A - 2. The arrester has a nominal AC voltage of 230V, maximum continuous voltage of AC 255V, and a safety level of 1.5kV.
