The DEHNshield is a combined lightning current and surge arrester, optimized for application with multipole spark-gap technology. It features a compact design with a width of just one module/pole, making it suitable for use in residential buildings and special applications. This arrester can protect terminal equipment and low-voltage consumer's installations against surges, even direct lightning strikes. It's designed for installation in accordance with the lightning protection zone concept at boundaries from 0A – 2. The unit supports a max continuous voltage AC of 255V, nominal voltage AC of 230V, and has a safety level of 1.5kV.
