The Dehn DEHNshield combined arrester is designed for energy technology applications with a TN network form, providing protection against lightning-induced surges. It features two poles, a surge load capacity during thunderstorms (10/350) of 25kA, and maintains maximum continuous voltage AC 255V and nominal voltage AC 230V. With a compact design, it offers spark-gap-based type 1 and type 2 combined lightning current and surge protection according to EN 61643-11. The device, just 1 module wide per pole, can protect terminal equipment in residential buildings and special applications. It's designed to guard low-voltage consumer installations against surges, even during direct lightning strikes and is installed at boundaries from 0A – 2 as per the lightning protection zone concept. It features a 1.5kV safety level across all L-N, N-PE, and L-PE configurations.
