The DEHNshield Basic is a combined lightning current and surge arrester that uses multipole spark-gap technology in a compact design for optimal use in retrofitted or refurbished residential buildings. With just one module/pole width, it's space-saving and capable of protecting terminal equipment. It's made according to EN 61643-11 for type 1 and type 2 arresters, meeting all requirements of IEC 60364-5-53 and IEC 60364-4-44. It has a maximum continuous voltage AC of 255V, nominal voltage AC of 230V, and a safety level of 1.5kV. The arrester can withstand a lightning flashover (10/350) of 22.5kA and extinguishes follow current of 25kA. Can be installed directly at origin of electrical installation.
