The Dehn DEHNshield is a multipole type 1 and type 2 spark-gap-based combined lightning current and surge arrester, complying with EN 61643-11 standards. It features a compact design with a width of only 1 module/pole due to the utilization of space-saving spark gap technology. It is suitable for use in residential buildings and unique applications, and is capable of protecting terminal equipment. Designed to safeguard low-voltage consumer installations against surges, it even offers protection from direct lightning strikes. The arrester should be installed conforming to the lightning protection zone concept, at the boundaries from 0A – 2. It has a max continuous voltage AC of 255V, nominal voltage AC of 230V, and safety level of 1.5kV. It can withstand a lightning impulse current of 25kA.
