Nickel-plated Brass DN 7.8 Safety Air Coupling Socket R 3/8 inch Male
Nickel-plated brass DN 7.8 safety air coupling socket with R 3/8 inch male threads. These safety couplings release the down-line air pressure by pulling the sleeve on the socket. We recommend to use hardened steel nipples for safety couplings. The operating pressure range is 0 to 12 bar. The socket is suitable for temperatures between -20 to 100°C. The flow rate is 1800 l/min. The seal material is NBR (nitrile rubber).

Description
Nickel-plated brass DN 7.8 safety air coupling socket with R 3/8 inch male threads. A pneumatic coupling is used to quickly connect air tools to a compressed air line. The coupling requires two parts: the socket (female) and the plug or nipple (male part). When disconnected, the coupling automatically shuts off to maintain the line pressure.
These safety couplings release the down-line air pressure at the plug side in a safe, controlled manner by pulling the sleeve on the socket. The plug will not be released before the pressure at the plug side reaches a safe low level. This prevents the risk of a dangerous bull whip effect which may cause damage to man and machine. We recommend to use hardened steel plugs with these couplings. The R 3/8 inch male threads allow for it to be threaded onto a matching female threaded part. The operating pressure range is 0 to 12 bar. The socket is suitable for temperatures between -20 to 100°C. The rated flow rate is 1800 l/min. The seal material is NBR (nitrile rubber). The Nickel-plated brass housing has a nickel-plated surface protection.
This product is compatible with: Rectus (25, 26, 1600, 1625), TEMA (1600), CEJN (320), JWL (520, 530, 560), Legris (25, 26), Parker (PE, PEF), Prevost (E ... 07), Festo (KD4 / KS4), IMI-Norgren (238), Aventics (CP1-NW 7 / 7,8). They are often referred to as compressed air couplings, compressor couplings, pneumatic fittings, air hose couplings, etc.
Pros:
- The R 3/8 inch male threads allow for it to be threaded onto a matching female threaded part.
- Compatible with a wide range of air couplings with the same standard profile design.
- Safety couplings are a smart investment to provide a safe work environment. The slide action allows for a safe, controlled manner to release the down-line air pressure to prevent a dangerous bull whip effect.
Cons:
- Not suitable for vacuum applications.

Our air coupler offering ranges from DN 2.7 - 19 mm for standard plugs and sockets, as well as a variety of safety air couplings, compressor couplings, manifolds, compressor claw couplings, and the CEJN Multilink system. Various connection types are available for each (female threads, male threads, hose pillar, union nut, etc.) with a wide range of min and max pressures. Our non-interchangeable color-coded options give you a clear visual indicator on what lines to connect. The safety air couplings have push-buttons, swivels, and slides as a safety release function. Our 42 mm compressor claw couplings follow DIN 3498 (similar) as well as DIN 3238 (Mody) for safety applications.
