Description
Nickel-plated brass DN 5 air coupling socket with a union nut for 4x6 mm hoses and bulkhead thread. A pneumatic coupling is used to quickly connect air tools to a compressed air line. The coupling requires two parts: the socket (female) and the plug or nipple (male part). When disconnected, the coupling automatically shuts off to maintain the line pressure.
The socket has bulkhead thread to mount it to a panel. This coupling is suitable for vacuum applications. The operating pressure range is -0.95 to 35 bar. The socket is suitable for temperatures between -20 to 100°C. The rated flow rate is 560 l/min. The seal material is NBR (nitrile rubber). The Nickel-plated brass housing has a nickel-plated surface protection. It has a red band for easy visual identification. Each color has a different shape (octagonal, triangle, ..). Colored plugs can only be connected to sockets with the same color, but they are also compatible to non-colored sockets. The color system prevents accidental interchange of different medias or pressures.
This product is compatible with: Rectus (21, 90), Camozzi (DN 5), EWO (DN 5), KANI (DN 5), Festo (KD3/KS3), IMI-Norgren (233), Aventics (CP1-NW 5). They are often referred to as compressed air couplings, compressor couplings, pneumatic fittings, air hose couplings, etc.
