G1/2'' Brass 24VUC Solenoid Valve Burkert 5404 281644

Bürkert indirect operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with G1/2'' inner threads and 24V UC (alternating or direct current) coil. The valve has a brass housing with PTFE sealing and an orifice size of 12 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethene or teflon) sealing, is resistant to almost all media. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. 5404 series

The Bürkert 5404 is an indirect operated solenoid valve, which means that a pressure difference of at least 1 bar is required to open the valve. The 5404 has a piston to seal the valve, instead of a flexible rubber membrane. This robust design allows for high working pressures, in some versions up to 80 bar. Gas and steam versions are also available up to 160°C. The gate sizes range from 1/2" to 2". The dimensions of the orifice range from DN 12 to DN 50. A popular application for the 5404 valve is as a relief valve for compressors. In addition, versions are available with ATEX explosion approval. Gas and steam versions are available up to 160°C as well as special versions for temperatures from -40°C.
