Description
This is a 3/2-way shut-off hand valve used for open/close control of the air flow with residual pressure relief. When the valve is closed the opening between the handle and the body releases the compressed air and relieves the system.
It has a 1/4 inch push-in fitting on the inlet port and a male threaded R 3/8 inch outlet port. The push-in fitting provides an easy connection with the tubing. Push the tube in and the fitting will fix it with stainless steel claws.
It is suitable for a maximum operating pressure of 9 bar (130.5 psi. Also suitable for vacuum applications at a pressure of -1 bar (-14.5 psi). It has NBR seals that make it suitable for applications within a temperature range from 0 to 60°C (32 to 140 °F) (no freezing).
Use a quarter-turn handle to open or close the valve. Make sure to turn it completely to avoid damaging the valve.
Pros:
- Simple design
- Suitable for vacuum applications
- Equipped with easy to connect push-in fittings
Cons:
- Dust could damage the pneumatic system if vacuum is applied without a filter on the inlet side
HV3 series
The HV - series includes two- and three-directional shut-off hand valves used for open/close control of the air flow. Two-directional valves keep the residual pressure within the system. The three-directional valves have an opening between the body and the handle cap which allows residual pressure relief after closing. These valves can be equipped with push-in and threaded ports which can be selected in 4 different combinations. The push-in fitting sizes range from 6 to 12 mm and from 1/4 to 3/8 while the threaded port sizes range from R1/8 to R1/2 inch. The valves are suitable for a maximum operating pressure of 9 bar and a vacuum of -1 bar. They are suitable for temperature range from 0 to 60°C (no freezing) thanks to the NBR sealing. The housing is made of PBT while the threaded ports and the spool are made of nickel-plated brass.
