PP True Union Ball Valves (Threads)

Explore Tameson’s wide range of PP (Polypropylene) true union ball valve (welding sockets) from various global manufacturers. A 2-way PP-H (Polypropelene Homopolymer) ball valve is resistant to a wide range of media, like water, corrosive media (sea water), most acids and bases, salt solutions, and organic solvents, making it very popular. Polypropylene provides superior chemical resistance and higher temperature resistance than PVC (Polyvinylchloride). Also, polypropylene is a more neutral plastic than PVC. The 2-way function means it has two ports, an inlet and an outlet, and a ball with a bore in it. They are operated by a manual hand lever to turn the ball 90 degrees. Simply turn the handle perpendicular to the pipe to close it and parallel to the pipe to open it. This allows for easy visual identification on whether a two-way ball valve is open or closed. A true union ball valve design allows the centerpiece of the valve (ball valve assembly) to be removed from the full unit while the valve is installed. This is ideal for quick and easy repairs/replacements as the solvent sockets typically adhere into place. Both the input and output ports on this valve have a solvent socket connection, so they slide into place (typically on a PVC pipe) and are adhered to the region with the help of a solvent (glue).
