Plastic Ball Valves (Not PVC)

Explore Tameson’s wide range of plastic (not PVC) ball valves from various global manufacturers. Plastic ball valves are highly durable, cost-effective, and they can be used for a wide range of media like water, air, acids, bases, and corrosive chemicals.

Plastic ball valves can be 2-way or 3-way. 2-way plastic ball valves have two ports, an inlet, and an outlet. The media flows from one direction to the other, and the valve is used to open or close the flow. They are operated by a manual hand lever to turn the ball 90 degrees, so they are also called quarter-turn ball valves or shut-off valves. When the handle direction is parallel to the connecting pipe or hose, the ball valve opens and allows media to flow from the inlet through the bore to the outlet. When the handle direction is perpendicular to the connecting pipe or hose, the valve is closed, obstructing the media flow through the valve. This allows for easy visual identification on whether a two-way ball valve is open or closed.

A 3-way plastic ball valve has three ports. The bore in the ball is not straight but rather in an L or T formation. This allows for various circuit functions (flow directions) for the valve. It can be used to distribute, mix, or divert flow in the desired direction. Therefore, any of the three ports can be an inlet or an outlet.
