Burkert 3/2 way solenoid valve (type 6014) with 32x32 mm SFB flange and a 12 V DC coil. This bi-stable solenoid stays in position after short pulse (>50 ms), switches back with reverse polarity. The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for max media temperatures of 120 °C (248 °F) and a pressure range of 0 - 16 bar (232 psi). Housing of brass with FKM sealing and a 1.5 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.07 m3/h (1.17 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Latching model.

Note: DIN connector not included.

This is a Burkert direct operating 3/2 way solenoid valve with 32x32 mm SFB flange and a 12 V DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 1.5 mm. SFB is a Burkert specific flange design that enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold. This bi-stable solenoid valve is designed to switch positions and stay in that position after a short electrical pulse of at least 50 ms. A pulse with reverse polarity is required to switch back to the original position. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of 0 - 16 bar (232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120 °C (248 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.07 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 1 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0, which means 0 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve requires an electrical pulse to switch between open and closed states rather than a continuous signal, leading to a lower energy consumption. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
  • This bi-stable valve switches position with a small electrical pulse and consumes very little energy
  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
  • Compact valve design
  • SFB flange design enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold

Cons:

  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases

Series:

The Bürkert 6014 valve is a compact, direct-acting plunger valve that offers excellent leak-tightness and pressure resistance thanks to its welded stopper and plunger guide tube. This valve is suitable for a variety of applications, with multiple seal material options available. The optional Bürkert special flange design (SFB) allows for an efficient manifold arrangement with this valve. This valve features a vibration-proof, bolted coil system, and its banjo-threaded connection enables direct attachment to pneumatic valves. Explosion-proof versions of the valve are available, and an energy-saving version with Kick and Drop coils can help reduce electrical power consumption during operation. The valves have an orifice diameter of up to DN 2.5.
