Description
This electrical actuator allows you to control quarter turn (ball or butterfly) valves. It has an operating torque of 35 Nm (higher break torque so please see the manual) and can open/close the valve in 9 seconds with a duty cycle of 75%. It requires a supply voltage of 24-240 V AC/DC and it has a visual positioning indicator on top of the unit to clearly see valve position. As standard, it does have a manual operation cogwheel for manually rotating the actuator’s stem in case of emergency. It is designed to mount to a quarter turn ball or butterfly valve that has an ISO 5211 F03, F04 or F05 flange with a 14 mm star connection for square drive shafts. It has a durable polyamide (PA) housing making an IP67 enclosure capable of operating in an environment of -20 to 70 °C. Before connecting the actuator, please read the manual carefully.

J4C series
The J4C high voltage electric valve actuators from manufacturer J+J offers an impressive list of standard features that include protection against damage from over-torque or condensation. Actuators are also available with different options like fail-safe BSR (Battery Safety Return) or modulating called DPS (Digital Positioning System). The series has an operating torque range between 20-300 Nm. The J4C fail-safe or modulating electric actuator is the same as the standard on-off J4C actuator but a BSR and/or a DPS kit is added inside the actuator. The J4C BSR fail-safe actuator can be set to fail open or fail closed. The J4C DPS modulating actuator can be controlled with 4-20 mA or 0-10 V (0-10 V on request).
