Description
This Bürkert 2/2-way (type 3363) diaphragm valve is designed for process control. This means that, thanks to the integrated PID controller, this valve can be used to directly control a process parameter, such as a level, pressure, flow rate or temperature. The position of the valve is automatically determined based on the input of the actual process value as well as the process set-point value.
This valve has glued sleeve DN 15 ports. The valve has a PVC housing with a PTFE/EPDM diaphragm. The current valve's position is blocked upon power lose.
For media temperatures ranging from -10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F) at a pressure of 0 to 10 bar (0 to 140 psi). The valve has a Kv-value of 3 m3/h (Cv-value of 3.5 gpm). Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. With its recirculating ball screw, the electric actuator is suitable for use in hygienic and aggressive environments. The housing has a dead space free design. A 360° LED light ring indicates the position. IP65/IP67 protection provides splash protection. The high-speed 24V DC electric actuator moves the diaphragm valve with ball screw to the desired end position. The valve takes 1.4 s to go from fully open to fully closed position. The actuator uses a büs communications protocol.
Pros:
- Adjustable driving force protects the diaphragm and prolongs the service life
- Diagnostic functions possible thanks to the fieldbus connection
- High IP protection IP65/67 ensures adequate splash protection
Series
The Bürkert type 3363, externally controlled diaphragm valves, are composed of an electrically controlled linear actuator (positioner), a diaphragm, and a two-way valve housing. The recirculating ball screw allows the electric actuator to work in clean or harsh environments. The valve housings are designed to allow high flow rates and versatile applications without any dead spaces. The position is displayed by a LED light ring that covers 360°. The actuator has a feature to adjust the drive force and protect the diaphragm. The actuator is splash-proof with high IP protection of IP65/IP67. electric actuators move the diaphragm valves with ball screws at high speeds of up to 6 mm/s. Some of the type 3363 valves are suitable for applications with food, oxygen and have explosion proof ATEX, IECEx and UL certificates.
