Description
Gira L1 Features: Logic functions include a variety of operations owing to the module library with 36 logic modules. These modules facilitate basic mathematical operations, control of shutters and blinds, temperature control, partition wall control, staircase lighting, and function as a random generator. There are configurable logic nodes that offer a freely selectable number of inputs.
Parameterisation of timers and scenes is simplified, featuring up to 20 timers with 10 switching times each, and up to 20 scene sets with 64 scenes each. In a single project, up to 480 data points can be utilized. This includes 300 KNX group address data points and 180 discretionary device data points.
The device also has an Intercom function for exchanging values between another L1 or an X1 via Ethernet. Its start-up is optimized for quick project changes and updates during operation without the need to restart the device.
There are two RJ45 sockets with switch functionality that support simple loop-through of the patch cable. Security is a priority with this device. Encrypted TLS data transfer between GPA and Gira L1 prevents interception by third parties. The device password protects the Gira L1 against unauthorized access.
A project copy can be saved on the Gira L1. During start-up, the physical address and the application are parameterized with the KNX start-up software ETS from version 4.1.8. Further configuration is performed in the Gira Project Assistant (GPA). The Gira Project Assistant is available free of cost in the Gira download area.
The device supports functional extensions and updates via firmware and software updates. The hardware is prepared for KNX Secure and will require a future firmware update. Please note that the device must be supplied via an external DC 24V.
