G 1/2 inch Process Controller NC Stainless Steel Electric Globe Valve - 3361 - 20022137

This Bürkert 2/2-way (type 3361) globe valve is designed for process control. This means that, thanks to the integrated PID controller, this valve can be used to directly control a process parameter, such as a level, pressure, flow rate or temperature. The position of the valve is automatically determined based on the input of the actual process value as well as the process set-point value.

This valve has G 1/2 inch female threaded ports. The valve has a stainless steel housing with a stainless steel sealing. The valve is normally closed (NC), which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. In case of power loss the valve stays in predefined safe position thanks to the energy storage unit within the actuator.

For media temperatures ranging from -10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F) and a maximum pressure of up to 25 bar (351 psi). The valve has a Kv-value of 1.2 m3/h (Cv-value of 1.4 gpm). With its recirculating ball screw, the electric actuator is suitable for use in hygienic and aggressive environments. The high-speed 24V DC electric actuator moves the globe valve with ball screw to the desired end position. The valve takes 3.4 s to go from fully open to fully closed position. The actuator uses a büs + profinet communications protocol.

The valve can work well even in harsh environments, because it has a high level of protection against splash and vibration (IP65/67). The valve is also very durable and won't leak, thanks to self adjusting packing gland with exchangeable V-seals. The type 3361 can be connected to a computer system, which can help monitor how well the valve is working and predict when it might need maintenance. The valve works quickly, with the motor able to move it up to 6 mm/s.
