The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible with a push-button, which disengages the gear train for as long as the button is pressed or locked. Stroke adjustments can be made using a 5mm hexagon socket screw key inserted at the actuator's top, with the stem extending when turned clockwise. The actuator can be directly mounted on the globe valve using form-fit hollow clamping jaws and it can be rotated 360° on the valve neck. The actuator connects with a 0-10 V control signal and moves to the position defined by the signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. In bus operation, the actuator receives its digital control signal from the upper-level controller via the MP-Bus and moves to the defined position. The U connection serves as a communication interface without providing an analog measuring voltage. The default factory setting retracts the actuator stem. When shipping valve-actuator combinations, the motion direction is set based on the valve's closing point. When actuator activated, the stroke direction switch alters the running direction during normal operation. The partial pressure relief stem and overflow channels enable this valve to handle high close-off pressures.
