Description
This Belimo butterfly valve is offered in combination with electrical actuator. The actuator can turn the valve from 0-90 degrees in a time of 90 seconds and requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC. The electrical actuator comes with a visual positioning indicator to clearly see valve position. The butterfly valve has a wafer type flange for connecting it to the piping, a nominal diameter of DN 40, and is rated up to 16 bar (232 psi) for non-hazardous fluids. Please note that the maximum pressure may deviate based on the medium type, so carefully check the datasheet. The butterfly valve has a cast iron GGG 40 housing, and an EPDM seal. The valve is suitable for media temperatures between -20 and 120 °C (-4 and 248 °F). The actuator has an IP40 degree of protection and is suitable for an environmental temperature of -30 to 50 °C (-22 and 122 °F). The actuator features BACnet IP/Modbus TCP control, enabling versatile communication and interoperability with other systems for streamlined control and monitoring capabilities. The actuator can be mounted on the valve via the ISO 5211 flange. Before connecting the actuator, please read the manual carefully.
The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible using a push-button, which disengages the gear train as long as the button is pressed or remains locked. Manual triggering of adaptation can be done by pressing the "Adaptation" button. Both mechanical end stops are detected during the adaptation (entire setting range). The actuator then moves into the position defined by the control signal. The actuator can be directly mounted on the rotary or butterfly valve with a mounting flange. The mounting orientation relative to the valve can be selected in 90° increments. The actuator is controlled via the Cloud, BACnet IP, or Modbus TCP and moves to the position defined by the control signal. Various data points can be written and read via the same interfaces. In hybrid mode, the actuator receives its analog control signal from the higher-level controller and moves to the defined position. Various data points can be read and written (except for the control signal) using the Cloud, BACnet IP, or Modbus TCP. The rotation angle can be adjusted with mechanical end stops. The recorded data (integrated data recording for 13 months) can be utilized for analytical purposes. CSV files can be downloaded via a web browser.
Pros:
- No risk of water hammer due to slow closing (90 s)
- The components are interchangeable and can be replaced individually if needed
- High Kv-value because the fluid flows in a straight line
- Suitable for viscous media
