Description
This 2-way flanged ball valve with a full bore (20 mm) provides reliable on/off flow control. The valve has DN 20 PN 16 flanges for connection with pipes on both sides and a standard length of 120 mm according to DIN 3202-F4.
The housing of the valve is made of stainless steel 1.4408 and the ball is made of stainless steel 1.4408. The sealings are made of PTFE/FKM. The valve is suitable for various aggressive and corrosive media up to a maximum pressure of 16 bar or 232 psi. The valve operates within a temperature range from -20 to 200 °C (from -4 to 392 °F).
Use the handle to operate the valve. By rotating it 90 degrees, the valve will open or close. If the handle is perpendicular to the pipe, the valve is closed. Avoid opening and closing it quickly to protect the system from the possible water hammer and further damage. The valve has a flange according to the ISO 5211 F04 norm. This makes the valve suitable for electrical or pneumatic actuation. Always check if the design of the mounting flange suits your actuator.
Pros:
- Suitable for aggressive and corrosive media thanks to the stainless steel housing and ball
- The 2-part construction provides inspection and maintenance capabilities
- The valve has a standardized length according to DIN 3202-F4
- Unobstructed media flow path thanks to the full bore construction
- The ISO 5211 flange makes it suitable for electrical and pneumatic actuators and it is equipped with a handle for manual actuation
- Lockable hand lever
- Easy interchange and maintenance thanks to the standardized DN 20/PN 16 flange
Cons:
- To disassemble the valve for inspection and cleaning it has to be completely removed from the pipe
BL2SH-AMF series
Our stainless steel flanged ball valve series ranges from DN 15 to DN 200. The operating pressure of these valves is up to 16 bar or 232 psi. The housing and the ball of the valves are made of stainless steel 316 which has a high corrosion resistance. These valves are suitable for a wide variety of media, such as water, steam, oil, compressed air, fuels, solvents and aggressive media. The high quality materials and PTFE/FKM sealings provide an operating temperature range of -20 to 200 °C (-4 to 392 °F). The length of the valves conforms to DIN 3202-F4 standard and from DN 150 to DIN 3202-F5. Besides flanges for connection with piping systems these valves are equipped with an ISO 5211 flange. This flange provides mounting of an electrical or a pneumatic actuator. All valves are eqquiped with a lockable handle. These ball valves have a full bore and offer maximum flow rates with the lowest pressure drop. The valves in the BL2SH-AMF-series of Tameson are characterized by a long service life.
