The HVI Conductor, compliant with DIN EN 62305-3, is designed for maintaining a separation distance from electrically conductive parts to prevent dangerous flashovers. It features an outer sheath that allows high lightning impulse voltages to be discharged to a reference potential. The solid, copper conductor has a nominal diameter of 5mm and a cross-section area of 19mm², enclosed in grey XLPE insulation. It is designed with an internal sealing end, an EB spring element enclosed in a supporting tube of length 3200mm, an air-termination rod and an earth connection element. The separation distance is ≤ 75cm in air or ≤ 150cm in solid material.
