This 3/2 way ball valve by JP Fluid Control is meant to be electrically operated (compatible with AW1 actuator). The valve has G1/2 inch inner port threads (BSPP) and is suitable for neutral liquids and gases (-10 up to 110°C). This type of valve is often used in heating systems. A ball valve is less sensitive to dirt than a solenoid valve. It is however recommended to install a filter before the valve. The valve body is made of brass, and features a chrome plated ball and a seal of PTFE (Teflon). The orifice has a diameter of 10 mm and the valve has a Kv-value of 6.4 m3/hr. This means that the flow is approximately 106.7 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar. This 3/2-way ball valve is best used to change flow direction from one output to the other, not stop the flow.

Important

  • Suitable for clean gases and liquids, including cold & hot water.
  • Make sure that the valve is suitable for the application and that the materials are suitable for the medium and the temperature

Note: this valve is not suited for dry gases such as unlubricated compressed air.
