This Belimo electrical actuator is designed for controlling quarter turn valves. The actuator delivers a torque of 90 Nm and can open/close the valve in 150 seconds. The actuator is equipped with overload protection, the actuator doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Due to its non-linear torque characteristic, the actuator is only suitable for butterfly valves and not for other valves. Manual override is possible using a push-button, which disengages the gear train as long as the button is pressed or remains locked. The actuator can be directly mounted on the butterfly valve. The mounting orientation relative to the butterfly valve can be chosen in increments of 90°. The actuator can be controlled with a standard control signal of 2-10 V and moves to the position dictated by the control signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. The rotation angle can be adjusted with mechanical end stops.
