G1/2'' Antipollution Check Valve Type EA Stainless Steel 304 FKM 0.03-16bar (0.44-232psi)

G 1/2 inch backflow preventer (check valve) made of stainless steel 304 with an FKM seal. The minimum differential pressure across the non-return valve must be higher than 0.03 bar (0.44 psi). The valve has a spring to close the valve when the flow is below the minimum pressure and to prevent backflow. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar (232 psi). The valve is suitable for operating temperatures between -20 and 150° C (-4 to 302° F). The Kv-value is 6 m3/h (100 l/min @1 bar pressure). In imperial units: Cv = 6.94 GPM @ 1 psi pressure.

A backflow preventer is a check valve that protects the drinking water supply network from backflow of contaminated water. This is a type EA backflow preventer according to EN 1717, which means is suited for drinking water and hot water installations such as coffee and vending machines, ice machines and steam ovens.

Pros:

• The valve has a G 1/2 inch inspection port at the inlet side to check for pollution
• Suited as antipollution control check valve type EA (according to EN 1717)
• For a wide range of applications thanks to the qualitative corrosion-resistant design
• FKM is suitable for oils, fuels, air, water and many chemicals

Cons:

• FKM is not suitable for boiling water or steam. EPDM or PTFE are suitable alternatives in this case
• 304 is less resistant than 316 stainless steel
