The valve has a spring to close the valve when the flow is below the minimum pressure and to prevent backflow. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar (232 psi). The valve is suitable for operating temperatures between -20 and 110° C (-4 to 230° F). The Kv-value is 3.2 m3/h (53.34 l/min @1 bar pressure). In imperial units: Cv = 3.7 GPM @ 1 psi pressure.

Pros:
- Suitable for drinking water according to WRAS and NSF ANSI 61
- For a wide range of applications thanks to the qualitative corrosion-resistant design
- EPDM is suitable for (hot) water, neutral fluids and many chemicals
Cons:
- EPDM is not suitable for oils and fats. FKM is suitable alternative in this case
- 304 is less resistant than 316 stainless steel
