Description
This is a straight pressure control valve that reduces the air pressure coming from the threaded port and releases it at a set value through the outlet port. This way the compressed air is conserved on the less important strokes.
It has a 6 mm push-in fitting on one side and an metric M5x0.8 male threaded port on the other side. The push-in fitting provides an easy connection with the tubing. Push the tube in and the fitting will fix it with stainless steel claws.
It is suitable for a maximum operating pressure of 9 bar (130.5 psi. It has NBR seals that make it suitable for applications within a temperature range from 0 to 60°C (32 to 140 °F) (no freezing).
Use an adjusting needle to compress or decompress the spring located between it and a poppet to set the desired pressure rating. Avoid swinging or rotating the resin body of the product by force as it may damage it and cause a fluid leakage. Do not use the pressure controller as any device which requires accuracy, such as a safety relief valve. This valve is not designed for safety control.
Pros:
- Equipped with easy to connect push-in fittings
- Reduces compressed air consumption on less important strokes
Cons:
- Not suitable for vacuum applications
JPS series
The JPS - series includes straight pressure controllers used to reduce the primary air pressure coming from the male threaded port and releasing it through the push-in fitting side. This way the compressed air is saved on the retract stroke. The push-in fitting sizes range from 4 to 12 mm and threaded ports come in M5x0.8 size and also range from R1/8 to R1/2 inch. The operating pressure ranges from 0 to 9 bar and the pressure setting range is from 2 to 6 bar. The housing material is nickel-plated brass with a PBT push-in fitting body attached to it. The pressure controllers are NBR sealed which make them suitable for a temperature range from 0 to 60°C (no freezing).
