50mm 24-240V AC/DC Modulating VDL 2-way PVC Ball Valve

This modulating electrical actuator is offered in combination with a 2-way ball valve. It can turn the valve from 0-90 degrees in 10 seconds with an operating torque of 20 Nm (higher break torque so please see the manual). It requires a supply voltage of 24-240 V AC/DC, has a duty cycle of 75%, and comes with a visual positioning indicator on top of the unit to clearly see valve position. As a modulating actuator, it is equipped with a digital positioning system (DPS) meaning it can position the valve anywhere between 0-90 degrees. It requires a control signal of 4-20 mA/0-10 V for positioning. As standard, it does have a manual operation cogwheel for manually turning the valve if needed. The actuator is mounted on the ball valve via the ISO 5211 F05 flange (14 mm). The 2-way PVC valve has two connection points of 50 mm true union sockets. The medium flows through a 40 mm bore (Kv value of 96 m3/h) and the temperature can be between 0 – 60 °C under 16 bars. It has a spindle seal material of EPDM. With the actuator’s durable polyamide (PA) housing, it gives the unit a protection of IP67 for an environment temperature of -20 till 70 °C. J3C series

VDL Ball valve

The VDL series ball valves are reliable 2-way ball valves with a PVC housing. The ball is also made of PVC and the valve seats are made of EPDM. The valve is suitable for various media, such as seawater, most acids and bases, and organic solvents up to 16 bar. Suitable for temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and available from size 32 mm to 63 mm. Ball valves from the this series all have an ISO 5211 top flange (F05, square 14mm ) which makes the mounting of an actuator possible.

J3C Actuator

The J3C high voltage electric valve actuators from manufacturer J+J offers an impressive list of standard features that include protection against damage from over-torque or condensation. Actuators are also available with different options like fail-safe BSR (Battery Safety Return) or modulating called DPS (Digital Positioning System). The series has an operating torque range between 20-300 Nm.
The J3C fail-safe or modulating electric actuator is the same as the standard on-off J3C actuator but a BSR and/or a DPS kit is added inside the actuator. The J3C BSR fail-safe actuator can be set to fail open or fail closed. The J3C DPS modulating actuator can be controlled with 4-20 mA or 0-10 V (0-10 V on request).
