Bürkert semi-direct operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with DN 32 flange and 24V UC (alternating or direct current) coil. The valve has a cast iron (GG25) housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 32 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The cast iron housing is suited for neutral fluids. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistant to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve's design prevents water hammering. Energy efficient design for a long product lifecycle.

Important advantages

  • Energy-saving design which ensures a low heating of the medium and, in addition, a long service life
  • The risk of water hammer is low, thanks to the dampened closing
  • Opens without differential pressure thanks to the hard-coupled membrane
  • Quiet closing thanks to the damped design
  • Bürkert design: proven reliability & durability

0290 series

The Bürkert 0290 valve is a semi-direct (servo assisted) solenoid valve of the S.EV series. The membrane features a fixed coupling to a plunger. This means that the valve opens without a differential pressure over the valve. It can be used for low pressure applications, such as gravity fed systems or closed circulating circuits. The valve is designed for a quiet operation. All UC variants have electronic control to achieve a high inrush current to open the valve and a low holding current to keep the valve in the opened position. This 'kick and drop' system leads to a low power consumption and a low heat generation which gives the 0290 a long lifecycle.
