Solenoid Valve 3/2 Mixing 32x46mm SFB Flange Stainless Steel EPDM 0-6bar/87psi 24VDC 0331 122832
Reference: 122832
Brand: Burkert

Burkert 3/2 way solenoid valve (type 0331) with 32x46 mm SFB flange and a 24 V DC coil. The valve switches between two inlet ports to the outlet port, based on whether the valve is energized or not. The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for max media temperatures of 90 °C (194 °F) and a pressure range of 0 to 6 bar (87 psi). Housing of stainless steel with EPDM sealing and a 3 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.12 m3/h (2.0 l/min at dp = 1 bar water).
Note: DIN connector not included.

This is a Burkert direct operating 3/2 way solenoid valve with 32x46 mm SFB flange and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 3 mm. SFB is a Burkert specific flange design that enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is mixing. The valve switches between two inlet ports to the outlet port, based on whether the valve is energized or not. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure range of 0 to 6 bar (87 psi) and a maximum temperature of 90 °C (194 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.12 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 2 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0.14, which means 0.14 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium.

Pros:

  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
  • SFB flange design enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold

Cons:

  • EPDM is not suitable for oils and fats
  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended
  • DIN connector not included

Series:

The Bürkert 0331 valve is a direct-acting, media separated pivoted armature valve. Orifices up to DN 4 and pressure ranges from 0 to 16 bar. The distinct feature of this valve from the 0330 model is the absence of threads, replaced by a Bürkert SFB (Specific Flange design Bürkert) flange connection at the bottom. This flange can be used to mount the valve onto a manifold or to mount onto a bigger valve (for example the Type 5282) and act as a pilot valve. The 0331 valve comes in 2/2 and 3/2-way versions. The 3/2-way versions are available as normally open, normally closed, distributor or mixing valve. The medium separated design makes this valve suitable for aggressive or slightly contaminated media. The standard brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 0331 is equipped with manual override for commissioning and testing. ATEX explosion approved versions are also available.
