4-3-Way Hand Lever Valves

4-3-way hand lever valves control double-acting cylinders and hydraulic motors by hand. Moving the lever one way sends oil to port A and returns port B to tank; moving it the other way reverses the flow. In the middle position the valve is in neutral, and the lever springs back there when released.

The neutral function is the main selection point. In a tandem centre, A and B are blocked so the actuator holds its position, while the pump flow returns pressureless to tank. In a float centre, A and B are open to tank, so the actuator can move freely under external force, for example to let a tool follow the ground. Where the lever must stay in a working position, a detent kit replaces the spring return.

In a modular system, each lever section is one slice of a valve block. A complete block needs an inlet section with pressure relief valve, one lever section per actuator, an outlet section and a tie rod set for the number of sections. Check flow, pressure rating and port threads against the circuit.
