The 3-way brass ball valve is the most common ball valve used to switch between two circuits amongst others or direct flow to all of them. Brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc. It has good properties for use with water, neutral, gaseous and non-aggressive, liquid media, mineral oils and compressed air. Brass is not suitable for salt water or distilled water.
Regarding ports, 3-way brass manual ball valves come in inner (female) threaded versions. The port sizes range from 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch and the valves are available in both L and T-bore versions. Always check what flow pattern suits you the most.
The whole selection is handle operated. Turning the handle a quarter turn will change the direction of the flow. The selection offers valves with the mounting flange in accordance with ISO-top (ISO 5211). This makes valves suitable for electrical and pneumatic actuation.
