Description
This Belimo butterfly valve is offered in combination with a modulating electrical actuator. The actuator can turn the valve from 0-90 degrees in a time of 55 seconds and requires a supply voltage of 120-240 V AC/DC. The electrical actuator comes with a visual positioning indicator to clearly see valve position. The butterfly valve has a wafer type flange for connecting it to the piping, a nominal diameter of DN 450, and is rated up to 16 bar (232 psi) for non-hazardous fluids. Please note that the maximum pressure may deviate based on the medium type, so carefully check the datasheet. The butterfly valve has a cast iron GGG 40 housing, and an EPDM seal. The valve is suitable for media temperatures between -20 and 120 °C (-4 and 248 °F). The actuator has an IP67 degree of protection and is suitable for an environmental temperature of -30 to 65 °C (-22 and 149 °F). The modulating actuator is requires a 2-10 V input and offers position feedback, ensuring precise control over its operation and accurate monitoring of its position within the designated voltage range. The actuator can be mounted on the valve via the ISO 5211 flange. Before connecting the actuator, please read the manual carefully.
Mechanical end stops confine the actuator between -2 ° and 92 °. The internal limit switches disrupt the motor's voltage supply. Additionally, a motor thermostat offers overload protection and interrupts the voltage supply if the actuator is operated outside the specified temperatures. An internal heater prevents the buildup of condensation. The integrated auxiliary switches feature a gold/silver coating that allows integration in circuits with either low currents (mA range) or larger currents (A range) as per the data sheet specifications. However, once larger currents have been applied, even just once, the contacts cannot be used in the milliampere range. The handwheel can close (turn clockwise) and open (turn counterclockwise) the butterfly valve. The handwheel remains stationary while the motor is running. The actuator is connected with a standard control signal and moves to the position defined by the control signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. The actuator is suitable for outdoor use and is protected against UV radiation, dirt/dust, rain/snow, and air humidity.
