Belimo Butterfly Valve DN40/PN16 Wafer 24VAC/DC Modulating GGG40 EPDM IP54 ISO 5211 BACnet/Modbus/MP-Bus 90s 40Nm D640N/GR24A-MOD-5
This cast iron (GGG40) Belimo butterfly valve is offered in combination with a modulating electrical actuator. Actuator requires 24 V AC/DC to operate. The butterfly valve has a nominal diameter of 42 mm, suitable for media temperatures between -20 and 120 °C (-4 and 248 °F), and max pressure of 16 bar (232 psi). Easily connected to your piping with a wafer type flange. The actuator has an IP54 degree of protection and is suitable for an environmental temperature of -30 to 50 °C (-22 and 122 °F).

Description
This Belimo butterfly valve is offered in combination with a modulating electrical actuator. The actuator can turn the valve from 0-90 degrees in a time of 90 seconds and requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC. The electrical actuator comes with a visual positioning indicator to clearly see valve position. The butterfly valve has a wafer type flange for connecting it to the piping, a nominal diameter of DN 40, and is rated up to 16 bar (232 psi) for non-hazardous fluids. Please note that the maximum pressure may deviate based on the medium type, so carefully check the datasheet. The butterfly valve has a cast iron GGG 40 housing, and an EPDM seal. The valve is suitable for media temperatures between -20 and 120 °C (-4 and 248 °F). The actuator has an IP54 degree of protection and is suitable for an environmental temperature of -30 to 50 °C (-22 and 122 °F). The actuator supports BACnet MSTP/Modbus RTU/MP-Bus communication protocols and requires product ZTH EU for setting the protocol address and linking the actuator to the system. Furthermore, ZTH EU allows the setting of an analog 0-10V or 2-10V control signal. The actuator can be mounted on the valve via the ISO 5211 flange. Before connecting the actuator, please read the manual carefully.
The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible using a push-button, which disengages the gear train as long as the button is pressed or remains locked. The actuator can be directly mounted on the rotary or butterfly valve with a mounting flange. The mounting orientation relative to the valve can be selected in 90° increments. The actuator comes with an inbuilt interface for BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU, and MP-Bus. It obtains the digital control signal from the control system and provides the present status. The rotation angle can be adjusted with mechanical end stops.
Pros:
- No risk of water hammer due to slow closing (90 s)
- The components are interchangeable and can be replaced individually if needed
- High Kv-value because the fluid flows in a straight line
- Modulating actuator with fieldbus or a 0-10 V/2-10 V signal
- Suitable for viscous media
Cons:
- Product ZTH EU needed (not included) to set protocol address and link the actuator to the system
