Pneumatic Actuators (ISO 5211)

Pneumatic Actuators (ISO 5211)

Quarter turn pneumatic actuators allow you to control ball or butterfly valves with compressed air rather than a manual handle. They have an ISO 5211 mounting surface for easy connection directly to a valve to increase system automation. They can be double acting (compressed air controls open and closed) or single acting with a spring open or spring close. An air hose can be connected, otherwise, there are typically connection points (i.e. VDI/VDE 3845) to connect a solenoid valve onto the actuator to control the compressed air. The compressed air pressure directly correlates to the actuator torque, so for one actuator a wide range of torques is possible. Pneumatic actuators are fast and reliable allowing you to automate an existing manual process.
