Solenoid Valve 3/2-Way 20mm Glued Sleeves Diverting Plastic EPDM 0-0.5bar/7psi 24VDC 0131 49883

Solenoid Valve 3/2-Way 20mm Glued Sleeves Diverting Plastic EPDM 0-0.5bar/7psi 24VDC 0131 49883
Reference: 49883
Brand: Burkert

Burkert 3/2 way solenoid valve (type 0131) with 20 mm glued sleeves and a 24 V DC coil. The valve inlet port switches between the two outlet ports, based on whether the valve is energized or not. The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for max media temperatures of 50 °C (122 °F) and a pressure range of 0 to 0.5 bar (7 psi). Housing of plastic with EPDM sealing and a 15 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 4 m3/h (66.68 l/min at dp = 1 bar water).
Note: DIN connector not included.

This is a Burkert direct operating 3/2 way solenoid valve with 20 mm glued sleeves and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a plastic housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 15 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is diverting. The valve inlet port switches between the two outlet ports, based on whether the valve is energized or not. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure range of 0 to 0.5 bar (7 psi) and a maximum temperature of 50 °C (122 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 4 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 67 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 5, which means 5 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The PVC housing is strong and lightweight and resistant to many chemicals, acids and alkali. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types

Cons:

  • EPDM is not suitable for oils and fats
  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended
  • DIN connector not included

Series:

The Bürkert 0131 valve is a direct-acting toggle valve. Its housing can be made of PVC, brass, or PVDF. The valve is available in sizes with diameters up to DN 25 and can operate from 0 to 3 bar depending on the version. Thanks to the diaphragm-separation between the actuator and the fluid body, aggressive media such as acids and alkaline solutions can also be controlled safely. DC variants offer energy efficiency, which can contribute to a longer life cycle. The valve features a vibration-proof coil system design. An electric position feedback system determines the valve's state.
