This is a Burkert indirect operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1/2 inch threads and a 230 V AC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 20 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. However, the function can easily be changed between NC and NO by rotating the pilot valve on the top side by 180 degrees. Suitable for a pressure range of 0.2 to 16 bar (3 to 232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 5 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 83 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 6, which means 6 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. This model is media separated. This means that the working parts such as the spring are separated from the media by a flexible membrane, which makes it possible to use of slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistance to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The manual override feature can be used to commission the system. The valve is fat and oil free, meaning it won't contaminate the media. Therefore, it's suitable for laboratory use as well as oxygen. The valve is CSA certified (Class 3221001). This valve is certified to comply with UR Component standard. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Various ATEX versions are available for potentially explosive environment.
