Solenoid Valve DF-SA 1'' brass EPDM 0-10bar 120V AC

This is a JP Fluid Control semi-direct operating 2 way solenoid valve with G 1 inch threads and a 120 V AC coil. The valve has a brass housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 25 mm (approximately 1 inch). The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.
The valve is suitable for pressures of 0 - 10 bar (0 - 145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120° C (248° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 10.24 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 170.7 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 11.84, which means 11.84 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suitable for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Pros:

Cons:

• EPDM is not suitable for oils and fats
• If your pressure differential is always higher than 0.5 bar, an indirect operated solenoid valve could be an alternative with better energy efficiency and lower total costs
• Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
• Solenoid valves use energy while activated and the coil may get hot. A well ventilated installation environment is recommended to dissipate the heat

DF-SA series

The DF-SA is a semi-directly operated 2/2-way solenoid valve (normally closed). The valve has an orifice from 16 mm up to 25 mm. The DF-SA series operates from 0 bar and is suitable for medium flow rates. The body is available in brass or stainless steel with an NBR, EPDM or FKM seal. The DF-SA solenoid valves are compatible with the coils from the CS2 (up to 1 inch) and CS8 (from 1-1/4 inch) series.
The valves are available with BSP or NPT threads on request.
