This is a JP Fluid Control direct operating 2 way solenoid valve with G 1/4 inch threads and a 12 V DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM (FPM) sealing and an orifice size of 2 mm (approximately 5/64 inch). The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.
The valve is suitable for pressures of 0 - 10 bar (0 - 145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120° C (248° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.11 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 1.83 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0.13, which means 0.13 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
The CM-DA is a normally closed, directly operated 2/2-way solenoid valve and specially designed for installations where compactness and energy efficiency is important. The solenoid valves have an orifice from 1 to 2.5 mm, work from 0 bar (0 psi) and are suitable for small flow rates. The housing is made of brass with an NBR, EPDM or FKM seal. The CM-DA solenoid valves are compatible with all the coils from the CS4 series.
