This pneumatically controlled 2-way ball valve allows for an increase in automation to your system compared to a manually controlled valve. The ball valve has a 80 mm diameter and is suitable for liquids and gases from -10 to 60°C. The pneumatic actuator is capable of creating 28 Nm of torque at 8 bar, but it has a control pressure window of 6 – 10 bar. The ball valve has 90mm threads to connect it to the piping/hosing carrying the media and the Kv value is 420 m3. The actuator is spring open with a reliable aluminium rack-and-pinion rotational operation. The actuator has an anodized aluminum housing and an aluminum cover, while the ball valve has a PVC housing and a HPDE seal. The maximum media pressure is 10 bar. Namur VDI/VDE 3845 connection points are already on the actuator to mount a 1/4" Namur solenoid valve directly onto the actuator or connect an air hose utilizing the G 1/4". Also, a position control or limit switch box can be mounted on the top of the actuator according to VDI/VDE 3845. The actuator is mounted on the ball valve via the ISO 5211 F07 flange (14 mm). The assembly is ATEX certified (EX II 2GD c) and may therefore be used in potentially explosive environments.
The PB series ball valves are reliable 2-way ball valves with a PVC housing. The ball is also made of PVC and the valve seats are made of EPDM. The PAL quarter turn pneumatic actuators allow you to control ball or butterfly valves with compressed air. They offer a reliable and robust solution to automate larger valves at a lower investment cost than electric actuators. They are mounted onto quarter turn valves with an ISO 5211 top flange (from F03 up to F12). With 8 different body sizes, they generate a torque range from 9.92 Nm to 901.8 Nm at 8 bar. Designed with a reliable aluminum rack and pinion rotational operation and designed to be either single acting (spring open or spring close) or double acting for increased control. These actuators are durable with an anodized aluminum housing and either an acetal resin (sizes 1-6) or aluminum (sizes 12-130) cover. The standard temperature range is -20°C to 80°C with an NBR seal, but an optional FKM seal is available for an increased maximum temperature of 120°C (sizes 1-6) or 150°C (sizes 12-130). All valves have a 1/4" Namur interface according to VDI/VDE 3845 with either G 1/8" or G 1/4" threads. The actuator is suitable for explosive environments thanks to the ATEX (EX II 2GD c) certification.
