Right Angle Ball Valves

Explore Tameson’s wide range of 2-way brass right-angle ball valves from various global manufacturers. A right-angle ball valve, also called a 90-degree ball valve, is selected when you need on/off control between perpendicular pipes or connecting components. A 90-degree ball valve is suitable to connect two components that are not in line with each other but are perpendicular. The fluid flow is controlled with a manual lever. Combining a ball valve and a 90-degree elbow into one component simplifies your installation and reduces cost.

2-way right-angle ball valves are available in a wide range of thread standards and sizes. The 2-way function means it has two ports, an inlet and an outlet, and a ball with a bore. A manual ball valve is operated by turning the handle 90 degrees, so they are also called quarter-turn valves. The handle is connected directly to the ball through the stem. When the handle direction is parallel to the connecting pipe or hose, the ball valve opens, allowing media to flow from the inlet through the bore to the outlet. When the handle direction is perpendicular to the connecting pipe or hose, the valve is closed, obstructing the media flow through the valve. This allows for easy visual identification on whether a two-way brass right-angle ball valve is open or closed.

The brass housing is suitable for water, compressed air, oils, and non-aggressive media. Certain application approvals are also available, like DIN EN 331 for gas applications. The brass housing also makes them economical and able to withstand high pressure, high temperature, and high flow rate applications. The threaded connection ports help in easy installation. Manual 2-way brass right angle ball valves are known for their simple operation, reliability, long service life, and wide range of applications.
