bleed point and strainer ball valves

bleed point and strainer ball valves

View our 2-way bleed point and strainer brass ball valves. The built-in bleed valve allows for draining of condensate and air recharging. The valves with integrated strainer serve as an economic replacement for two shut – off valves and a strainer.

The bleed point ball valves have a drain tap that can be mounted on the left or right side of the valve. Often these valves are used on expansion vessels. The drain tap or port can also be used to drain the downstream line when the valve is in the closed position.

The integrated strainer ball valves provide filtering of the media, easy installation and maintenance and easy filter screen replacement as the outlet port depressurizes after closing the valve.

The whole selection is handle operated. Turning the handle a quarter turn will open or close the valve. When the handle is in line with the pipe, the valve is open. When the handle is perpendicular to the pipe, the valve is closed. The selection includes a wide choice of full bore versions with an unobstructed flow path and excellent flow characteristics.
