Select and buy a electric brass ball valve online for your application. The 2-way brass ball valve is one of the most common valves on the market. It has a brass housing and 2 ports, an inlet and an outlet, and a ball with a bore in it. They are operated by an electric actuat that turns the ball 90 degrees, which is why they are often called quarter turn ball valves or shut off valves. Due to the brass housing and simple design, they are known for their simple operation, reliability, long service life, and wide range of application uses. Actuated brass ball valves are great to automate applications for water, compressed air, oils, non-aggressive media, and much more.

Other main selection criteria for 2-way electric brass ball valves include: connection size, seal material, pressure rating, and temperature rating.

Brass housing

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and has great mechanical properties. Brass ball valves are known for their durability and no leakage over their life span, even if they have not been used for a long period of time. These brass ball valves can be used with drinking water, gas, mineral oils, compressed air and many other non-aggressive media. But they are not suitable for use with salt water or distilled water due to the risk of dezincification. Dezincification reduces the mechanical strength of the brass by causing the zinc to be removed from the alloy resulting in a porous structure. However, brass ball valves are more resistant against contaminated media as compared to other types of housing material and provide reliable sealing even in case of dirty media.

They can withstand high pressure, high temperature and high flow rates. They are also economical due to their simple and robust design, low cost and low maintenance needs. Due to these advantages, brass ball valves are used in a wide range of residential and industrial applications. Some common application includes controlling domestic hot and cold water systems, steam applications, irrigation system, natural gas system, marine industries, fire protection application, chemical industries, etc. An actuated brass ball valve is a great way to automate these applications.
