V-Belts

V-belts are drive belts that run over at least 2 pulleys with the same V-shape. As a result of the friction between the flanks of the V-belt and the pulley, the drive pulley's power is transmitted to the other pulley. Applications include: conveyor drives, industrial fans, blowers, oil field and agricultural equipment.

Classic Imperial - These V-belts are designed in accordance with DIN 2215. The smaller the profile the more lightweight the belt is, and therefore ideally suited for high belt speed and low torque applications. Larger profile V-belts are suitable for lower belt speeds and higher torques. To select the right profile for you, choose a corresponding belt code:

  • Z - 10x6 mm
  • A - 13x8 mm
  • B - 17x11 mm
  • C - 22x14 mm

Narrow Metric - Based on DIN 7753 standard, these V-belts have a higher profile and can transmit greater forces than those with classic profiles. This results in fewer V-belts being needed to transmit the same amount of power. These work best with compact drives of lesser weight and drives needing a greater horsepower capacity. The length of narrow profile V-belts is specified in millimeters. To select the right profile for you, choose a corresponding belt code:

  • SPZ - 9.7x8 mm
  • SPA - 12.7x10 mm
  • SPB - 16.3x13 mm
  • SPC - 22x18 mm

Cogged metric - Contrary to the types mentioned above, this V-belt is not sheathed and is designed according to DIN 7753. The belts are cogged and have open flanks. In comparison to sheathed V-belts, they are more wear-resistant and can transmit more power. Thanks to the coggs and the absence of the sheathing, they are more flexible than narrow profile V-belts. As a result, the belt may be used on smaller sheaves. This belt type is therefore the most appropriate choice in many situations. To select the right profile for you, choose a corresponding belt code:

  • XPZ - 9.7x8 mm
  • XPA - 12.7x10 mm
  • XPB - 16.3x13 mm
