Bimetallic Thermometers With Rear-Connection

View Tameson’s range of bimetallic thermometers with rear connection. These thermometers have their stems positioned behind the cabinet and that’s where the process connection is located. The bimetallic thermometers have various stem designs in terms of material, width, length and connection type.

Temperature measuring ranges go from -30 to 500°C which make bimetallic thermometers especially suited for high temperature applications.

The stems are usually made out of aluminum or stainless steel and are suitable for applications that suit those materials. The aluminum stems usually have no threads and require thermowells to connect them and protect them from the system pressure. Our range of plastic and aluminum thermometers include thermowells in the package so they are immediately operational. The stainless steel thermometers for industrial application and aggressive media application have G 1/2 inch threaded connections and can be connected without the thermowell, but we still recommend using it.

The stem length ranges from 40 to 600 mm and cabinet diameter ranges from 40 to 200 mm. Plastic and aluminum thermometers are suitable for maximum operating pressure of up to 6 bar while stainless steel thermometers can work up to 25 bar.
